Designed to connect directly into the 10-32 coned port of a chromatography column, the Precolumn Filter features a tube tip that can adjust to any port depth, preventing the creation of dead volume. The Precolumn Filter can be reused in multiple ports, repeatedly ensuring good connections. The easy-to-replace filter unit includes a fresh piece of stainless steel tubing, which extends the lifetime of the assembly.

    guard column hplc 4

A guard column protects the expensive analytical column by capturing contaminants or particles. It may be replaced regularly, thereby increasing the life of the analytical column. Guard columns make sense if the sample, matrix, or eluent contains impurities or substances that react with or clog the column material. The investigations have shown that using a guard column minimally influences analytical separation. The user can, therefore (apart from very critical separations) safely apply a guard column to increase the life span of the analytical column and thereby save costs.23030101
